3 Days of Events: Dec 7 | Dec 8 | Dec 9 Thursday, December 7 - 7pm Letter writing party and vegan potluck. At the Resource Center for Non-violence 515 Broadway (at Ocean St) Friday, December 8 - 7pm Film screenings and speakers illuminating how our rights are being lost through these cases and new legislation. All money raised will go towards defending activists in the new war on dissent. Featuring: David Hayden--SF Grand Jury Resister Benjamin Rosenfeld--Bay area attorney specializing in Civil Liberties, Grand Jury Resistance, and activist defense. He has successfully argued on many eco-defense cases, including FBI vs. Judi Bari and Darryl Cherney. Films: Source Code: Eco-dissent/Not Terrorism A Voice for Liberation: Rod Coronado Refusing to Be Silent: Josh Harper Plus Green Scare Benefit Marketplace with relevant Books, zines, T-shirts, tote bags! Tons of great vegan refreshments. Sliding scale donation $5-50, no one turned away for lack of funds. At the Resource Center for Non-violence 515 Broadway (at Ocean St) Saturday, December 9 - 2pm A day of workshops and discussions, followed by an evening dinner and musical performances. Workshops will include: · Prisoner Letter Writing 101 · Basic Security · Responses to State Repression · Dealing with Feds and Cops · Proceeding Effectively with Environmental Campaigns In the evening, dinner will be provided by Food Not Bombs, with musical performances to follow Featured musical guest--RAUM (Kascynskian jug band!) plus more spasmodic accordion music! at the Beehive Collective 315 Walnut St. |
